Euro 2008

6 days to go for the Euro 2008

I'm sure most of you should be waiting impatiently for this event. This time its been held in Austria / Switzerland.

I'm not great fan of football to follow up every match in the league but one thing is sure, I never miss the Euro and World Cup which are organised every 4 years.

So guyz.. lets start chit talk about our teams and opponents.

I'm not a team addict.. I watched Football and appreciate every good team and player individually. But still in overall my best team is Italy Those stylish guyz are always handsome, rocking, skilled and prove the best team play and specially best defence in every competition.

This is a good idea. I'll be cheering for my country's team, Romania They have good players. They are in a group with Italy, France and The Netherlands (holland). So till the cup ends i will hate everybody who is cheering for these teams, especially Artist. I think this is the best group in the whole cup. All 4 teams are very good teams. From Romania i'm sure you know Chivu(Inter Milan) and Mutu(Fiorentina), they pretty much know Italy's game
I'd like to see small teams like Croatia, Czech Republik, Greeze and etc. play good games and win, because i think they have potential. My favourite player is Djibril Cisse, i hope i'll see him in action. From Italy's i like everybody but especially Gennaro Gattuso.

Holland's team got weaker after Ryan Babel got injured and will miss the whole tourney. He broke his ligaments, i really feel bad for him, as i have a similar problem with my knee, but i didn't broke my ligaments, only injured them...

Let the best team win.

I'm sorry to inform you that Djibril Cisse has been rejected by the french trainer.. He didn't play good the last games. Keep an eye on Karim Benzema the best french guy at this moment

Luca Toni can be dangerous with Italy...don't forget that he is the best scorer of the German league.

I like Mutu & Chivu they play very good :p

Romania is in fckin hard group and it will be hard to go to da next stage but a bit of luck should help in it personaly i bet on Itlay and holland , but i hope in my team most of us(polaks) though that poland won't go on to next stage , but imho it is possible

Well mate...Romania is in a hard group, but luck is appearing for them, like i said, Ryan Babel got injured and he'll miss the tourney. He's one of Holland's best players...Anyway magic always happen at such prestigious tourneys. For an example remember how Angola played at the 2006 world cup in Germany? I think they got qualified for the next stage...and they had players who didn't even have contracts with any football team...
I read in the newspaper that Poland might play good football, so i hope they do...Like i said i wanna see nice games from smaller teams.

World Cup or Euro matches are full of surprise!! Everything is possible though its hard. Why not seeing both Poland and Romania in Final?? hehe last time Greece surprise all of us to won the cup.

Well for the first match I bet for Rep Czech. maybe 0-1.
But the real probability is mostly a draw as Switzerland is hard to lose in its own country and specially in an opening.

Switzerland's big player is Phillipe Senderos, also playing at Arsenal.
Czech Rep's big players are Petr Cech(Chelsea), Marek Jankulowski(Milan), Thomas Ujfalusi(Fiorentina) , Jan Koller (Nürnberg) and Milan Baros (Portsmouth).
Don't forget that the Swiss team will play in front of swiss people, so that might motivate them.

Slovenia is not even qualified, you see hitman there's a boy who plays quake all day and doesn't do anything else...* sigh * !

italy sucks man....everybody had hi expectations and look what happened. It was already 2-0 to Holland in the 30th minute. Romania match...wasn't really boring, it was just a slow match. Both teams managed to have a good defense. If everything continues like this Romania will beat Italy...
Btw Artist you saw how Romanian fans were cheering? I could only hear Romaniaaaa Romaniaaa, no gallic chicken (haha). France has bad fans. Btw how is that Gallic Chicken called?

Well if ever Italy falls, the only team i would like to win is Germany. Still nothing can be said until the second matches of all group are played.

I think portugal is a good contender too...also spain and sweden.

Germany lost 1-2 to Croatia. I will not say they did bad as Croatia was much prepared and more strategic. Now only the 3rd round will pull out the qualified.

France vs Holland 2moro.. umm Gud luck After Italy's defeat to Holland, I can say France will face a hard time for this match.

Romania - Italy tomorrow :0 ...i hope romania will win.
Croatia match was kinda cool, and Schweinsteiger deserved the red card.

Poland vs Croatia
I dunno much about Poland.. but Croatia proves to be a good team after winning vs Germany. And now after Poland lost to Germany, they will have to train more n get much prepared if they really want to beat Croatia. Still in my point of view, Croatia is much of winning this one.

Poland is a bad team, no offense mate, but they can't build up anything, they are lucky they have Boruc who is really good, and have Roger who is always willing to score. The others seem like they went there only for the money. I heard a polish footballer hung himself because he didn't got elected to be in the national team. About Romania, after Holland this team has the biggest chances to qualify. They only have to make an equal or in worst case lose by 2 goals. I hope you all realize that this group C is the hardest group ever, it has the best teams all over the world. Like Lordy said Ned will win the cup, i agree with him. They are very determined, young and also good players with good tactics. I'm kinda that Mutu missed his penalty with Italy, if he scored Romania would qualify and the upcoming match won't change anything. I hope Ned will use the substitutes.

Small correction zoli. Romania is 2 points only. Only a win will allow the team to qualify. Making a draw will scores total of 3 marks. Ofcourse i'm assuming there will be a winner on the other side, either Italy or France. If these 2 make a draw, both of them will be out even if Romania lose.

If either Italy or France win, the winner will be 4 marks.. whereas if Romania makes a draw leads to 3 marks

In my point of view, its harder to expect a win from Romania. As everybody is saying Holland is good enough to win the cup, so.. this is the fact.

Say goodbye France and Romania.. Italy continues woohooooo!!
